Sitting at the house this fine morning and wondering why i dont live here. I'm in Kailua on Oahu and it is the coolest place. The kiteboarding here is off the charts and you can kite every day if you want. I have been kiting straight off the beach that is right behind the house. We went to the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor yesterday and it was a very cool thing to go check out. Those young men gave there lives so we could live the way we do. Well i got some waves to catch so i got to run but ill catch ya soon.

So skodeo.com has finally been finsihed and is ready for you to post all your new and used sporting goods. I have spent a lot of time to get this up and running just how we want it and it is looking very very cool.

I just got back from North Carolina where I was kiteboarding and surfing my brains out. I had so much fun sticking my toes in the sand instead of the ski boots. I will be back in NC for sure it is a hot kiting spot. I'm now off until the 15th of May, I will then be going to Mammoth, CA for the last on snow training of the year. Back in the USA for rest of season!

Well Norway did not go how I planned but that is life in the world of Ski Racing. I ended the season top 30 in the world which puts me on the A team of the US Ski Team. This was one of my big goals coming into the year and so it feels really good to have been able to walk away from my first season on the World Cup and also first season after injury with that goal accomplished. This sets me up very nicely going into next year, an olympic year. I have a few more races left in the season before its time to pray for some sun and more importantly wind so I can go shred on my new Slingshot Kites and board. I have a Kiteboarding trip planned to Hatteras, North Carolina at the end of April and believe me that trip can not come quick enough. Hope all are doing well and see you next time.

In Norway

It has been awhile since my last post and I have had a lot of very cool things going on in my life. Most important i need to let everyone know that I have ran Kitzbuhel and I was able to walk away from it, which I'm very thankful for. That course is the most amazing thing i have ever ran by along ways. Every thing from the 100,000 thousand people there spectating to how steep, icy, and fast it is. I ended up running 2nd at Kitzbuhel and i was so nervous in the start, but i was able to use that to help myself focus and forget about how nasty what I was about to do really is. I was able to grab my 2nd best result ever with a 11th place finish my first time at Kitzbuhel. Wow, that was a really cool thing to be apart of, especially having my Mom there as well.

I was selected for the the World Championship Team as well and that was a really big step for me to have the opportunity to race at Worlds. They use the same selection for Worlds as they do for the Olympics, so to be able to make it there this year with the Olympics coming up next season was a step in the right direction. Worlds did not go as well as I would have hoped but that is the way it goes in the sport of ski racing.


The last 2 weeks i have had off from racing so I was able to go to Utah with my Lady and go POWDER ski which was so so nice. I also did a lot of snow kiting and even made it up to Rexburg for more kiting with my best friend and his new little boy. Then I spent some good quality time home with the family in the City with a Future, Middleton, ID. There is nothing better then Mamma Fish's home cooking and my BED!

I have been getting involved in starting a new company called Skodeo.com. It will be the best way to sell and buy new and used outdoor sporting equipment. It's an online classifieds for your toys basically. My love in life is having as much fun as i can in the outdoors and my hope is this website will help me share that love with the rest of the world. Skodeo is going to launch in 2 short weeks so let's get it rockin when it gets a launchin!

I'm now in Norway getting ready for the last 2 Dowhills of the season. They are big races for me so wish me luck and I'll let you know how they go.

Christmas, HO HO HO!

Christmas break was very nice to me and it was good to be home. I had a couple weeks off and took full advantage of it. It snowed some in Boise so I was able to go kite skiing right in town so that was very cool. I spent a lot of time with the family and played with my nephew as much as I could. I spent New Years in Las Vegas, which was a cool thing to do because there are people everywhere and there is lots of fun stuff going on. I’m now in Wengen, Switzerland getting ready for the World Cup DH that will take place here in a few days. This is the birthplace of ski racing, it is one of the big ones so wish me luck and ill let you know how it goes.

Val Gardena First Top 10

Well I came into Val Gardena, Italy a couple of weeks ago not sure if I was going to even race, but when I left I had the best 2 races of my career. The first race of the World Cup Series in Val Gardena was the SG and I was lucky enough to get a start. I started in the 40’s and I came down into 20th place marking my best result to date in a world cup ski race. The fallowing day I was also given a starting position by the coaching staff. I started in the very back at bib 52nd. I had a very great run and was able to top my best result the day before with a 7th place, my first top 10 of my career. It was a lot of fun and it was really special to make history with the other guys by having 5 American’s in the top 10. Bode 2nd, Marco 4th, Fisher 7th, Nyman 9th, Lanning 10th!
